A Hot Office Celebration of Boob Biscuits & Cake! Breast Cancer Awareness - Wear it Pink Day

posted October 2012

The Hot Office clients and staff threw themselves into the spirit of things yet again on 'Wear it Pink' day [26th Oct] to raise money to support Breast Cancer awareness.

By far the biggest attraction of the day were Areta's Boobs! Before that gets taken the wrong way - Areta Breeze from Abacus Development UK (a long-term Campus Office client at The Hot Office, St Albans) had baked some very tasty boob-shaped biscuits and then decorated them with the most glorious iced lingerie - They were truly Booby-licious!

Congratulations & Thank you to the Hot Office clients and team who raised £140 for charity - a great effort for a great cause.

Hot Office Christmas Party 2011 - Cocktails, more Cocktails & then alot more Cocktails!

posted December 2011

...

What started as a nice quiet evening in Mokoko Cocktail Bar [St Albans] on the 17th Dec, ended in some crazy dancing at Bar Meze Greek Restaurant after Gemma from accounts decided to spend the 2012 company budget on Cocktails!

It was a fantastic evening with the whole team deservedly letting their hair down after working really hard throughout last year. New girl Sam made an impact with the rest of the team, donning a mankini towards the end of the night and hitting the dance floor.

Hailed as another legendary night which will be talked about around the office for along time. The Hot Office must have made an impact at Bar Meze as at the end of the night the manager announced that he "loved us" - having said that, I think it was more down to the fact that he can now probably afford to take a long holiday after Gemma went through the entire Cocktail menu - at least twice! (she still denies it!)

The Inaugural BUCKINGHAMSHIRE HOT JELLY!

FREE Co-Working Event 3rd November 2011!

posted Sept 2011

The Hot Office [aka Aylesbury Enterprise & Innovation Centre] in Aylesbury will host the inaugural 'Buckinghamshire Hot Jelly' 9am-5pm on 3rd November 2011!

So what is a 'Jelly'?: Jelly is a casual coworking event (unlike the wobbly gelatin variety!), where freelancers, home workers & people running small businesses meet up in order to get out of their normal space, get that all important element of human interaction, meet some new people and work together in a social environment.

(Jelly differs from networking in that the aim is not to find new clients, pitch your business or to sell. Try that at Jelly and you will not be popular).

So where did all this 'Jelly' stuff come from?: Jelly was established in 1996 when two New York freelancers were talking about the major drawback of working alone; namely the lack of human interaction. They decided to invite a group of freelancers to bring their laptops and work together in their apartment for the day, and called it Jelly as they were eating Jelly beans at the time! (Just as well they were not eating cabbage!)

IT'S FREE including Office, Broadband, Parking, Tea, Coffee, Water & even a JELLY lunch (you can also bring CAKE!). THERE'S ONLY 10 PLACES, SO SECURE YOUR PLACE NOW by dropping Max C an email, details at Team

Christmas Party - The Hottest Team in Town!

posted December 2010

The Hot Office team landed in Studio 54 for the night of Sat 11th Dec and were impressively glammed-up and in great form strutting their stuff to hardcore 70s Disco.

Max and Luke had their hands full with 14 'Hot' girls to look after but hey someone had to do it!

Let's say it was an eventful evening with plenty to drink and great entertainment. Highlights on the dance-floor included Saturday Night Fever, Cotton Eyed Joe and Luke's double-time Macarena! I'll leave the rest to your imagination. It was a great night with quite a few bad heads the next day.

PS. Rumour is that Kayleigh didn't stop partying until 4pm! Well there's always one and funny enough ...it's always Kayleigh!

Starting this business was very daunting for both of us and finding such a welcoming and friendly place to work has enabled us to gain our business identity very quickly."

Chris Hall - Hall Gregory

"The Hot Office's flexibility and affordability gave us the opportunity to move our business into a professional office environment and enabled us to get totally focused at a critical point in our companies development."

Jason Dorsett - Nest Creative

"The Hot Office is the perfect environment for my business. The professional workspace and vibrant community has enabled me to develop and grow my business rapidly."

David Josephs - DJ Communications

"The Hot Office flexibility has been a real benefit for us, it's enabled us to control our office costs in line with our staff head count and has given us the admin back-up we need on a day to day basis. We simply couldn't have grown the company so fast and efficiently with the Hot Office's help"

Adrian Barrett - BlueSky PR

"I get more work done in one day at The Hot Office than I do in a week at home."

Kieran Regan - Excel Networks

"I would like to say a big thank you to your team for the help, assistance and professionalism over the last 9-months.The services you have provided have been excellent and are ideal for a start up trying to keep costs down without compromising on the quality of service. The Hot Office has been a pleasure to deal with."

Paul Slade - Select Knowledge Ltd

"Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how valuable your business is to my business. Couldn't work without everything you do. .....Post collection, call answering, office space, goodies, referrals, advice and even occasional humorous banter! Deal with loads of suppliers, constantly let down, but The Hot Office does what it says on the tin, and more. Keep it up!"

Jason Dorsett - Nest Creative

"The Hot Office's walk-in, sit-down, start-work solution enabled me to focus entirely on winning new business which was absolutely vital to get the momentum of my new company going. 5 years from launch I now have over 600 clients and cross trading and interacting in this community has been an important part of the Tax Assist success"

Mark Fordham - TaxAssist Accountants
