Having worked for a leading property management provider for many years in a senior role, Fiona witnessed many occurrences of residents' dissatisfaction due to an often impersonal and expensive approach to the management of their buildings.

Fiona explains "The most common grievance amongst residents was that they where being charged unjustifiably high Service Charges for poor and in some cases, no obvious development maintenance at all. I could only empathise with those who were paying expensive charges but continued to experience residing in blocks where communal areas were not kept clean, gardens were overgrown and unkempt and where estate areas were allowed to fall into disrepair and become dilapidated. The lack of response, impersonal call centre contact and 'faceless Property Managers' only led to anger and distrust between the managing agents and the residents".

Throughout her career Fiona grew to realise that in order to obtain complete client satisfaction, there was a necessity for change and she strongly felt that there was a need for property management companies to offer a more traditional, transparent and engaging approach to the management of their clients' developments. Where providing good customer service and ensuring residents' needs are met, are at the forefront and the central focus of the business, closely accompanied by good property knowledge and fair pricing structures.

She observed "Many of the big Property Management companies seemed more intent on keeping their larger developer clients happy and this affected the residents living in the smaller blocks and estates. They simply seemed to care about legislative bureaucracy and the demanding of Service charges without ensuring that a high standard of services and regular maintenance were being provided on site".

hub offers a flexible, back to basics approach to each development they manage, whether large or small and they strive to put the resident's needs first. Ensuring that their clients' developments and external areas are pleasant places to reside in and kept well maintained at all times.

Fiona's ethos is "hub is entirely focused on the residents and their individual development needs, placing both at the centre of what we do. We offer a bespoke management style to all our clients within a very competitive fee structure. We source vetted and local contractors and believe in a hands-on working relationship with our residents and the developments that we manage. Communication is of paramount importance and that is why we pledge to respond to all calls within 24 hours and visit each development under our management at least on a fortnightly basis".
